Kleinostheim, 4 April 2024
IDS, Germany’s largest general cargo network, has once again honoured the top performers in its IDS Quality Ranking. Alongside the highest-ranked depots among the 54 IDS locations, the network also presented its annual award for the most improved depot.
The Noerpel Group depot in Heidenheim, which joined the IDS network at the beginning of 2022, achieved an impressive rise of 28 places to secure fifth position overall, earning the title of Rising Star of the Year.
Across the entire network, IDS continued to improve key quality indicators. “This is particularly true of our premium services, including express shipments. Throughout 2023, we consistently delivered a high level of quality performance, remaining stable even during peak periods in the spring business season,” said IDS Managing Director Michael Bargl.
Each year, IDS evaluates the service quality of its partner depots to determine their ranking. Assessment criteria include compliance with delivery commitments for incoming shipments, scan completeness, results from regular quality audits, and the delivery performance of express consignments.
As well as recognising the Rising Star of the Year at the Noerpel depot in Heidenheim, IDS also honoured the overall winners of the quality ranking. After finishing second the previous year, Geis Bischoff Logistics, which has been operating from Ebersdorf since the end of 2023, secured first place in the IDS Quality Ranking 2023. Second place went to Hans Geis GmbH + Co KG, Kürnach, which had finished third the previous year.
