The Noerpel Group's freight forwarding branch in Villingen is now operating from a new address:
C.E. Noerpel GmbH

78052 Villingen-Schwenningen
Phone: +49 7721 9449-0
Over the weekend, the Noerpel Group successfully completed its relocation to a new, state-of-the-art terminal. The local team has been operating from the modern facility, located just 600 metres from the previous site at Auf Herdenen 3 in 78052 Villingen-Schwenningen, since 6 March.
Thanks to meticulous planning and the outstanding commitment of around 100 employees, the move was completed smoothly while maintaining ongoing operations. 'Anyone who has ever moved premises knows just how much work is involved,' says Darko Ilic, Branch Manager in Villingen-Schwenningen. 'Within a very short period of time, we relocated furniture, equipment and terminal infrastructure, set up all workstations, and ensured a seamless transition. Everything is now in place, the IT systems are running perfectly, and we have made an excellent start in our new terminal.”
Designed for efficient operations
The 10,000-square-metre freight forwarding terminal provides the Noerpel team with ideal working conditions. The facility features 82 loading bays, allowing trucks to load and unload goods efficiently. In the 7,300-square-metre transhipment hall, consignments are consolidated, handled, and prepared for onward transport. A particularly wide central aisle ensures smooth traffic flow throughout the terminal.
Over 2,000 square metres are dedicated to offices and administrative functions. The 42,000-square-metre site also offers extensive manoeuvring, parking and storage areas for vehicles and operational equipment.
Sustainability and energy efficiency at the core
The development of the new site was driven by a commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Key features include:
- Construction to the BEG 40 efficiency standard, requiring only around 40% of the energy consumed by a comparable conventional building.
- A rooftop photovoltaic system that generates a large proportion of the on-site electricity requirements.
- Recyclable metal cassette elements for the hall façade.
- An energy-efficient air-to-water heat pump for heating.
- Integrated building management technology that intelligently controls and optimises energy consumption.
- EV charging stations for passenger vehicles, with infrastructure already in place for electric trucks.
