Noerpel Group receives ESG Transparency Award once again

The Noerpel Group has won the ESG Transparency Award for the second consecutive year. The award, which is presented annually, recognises companies and organisations for their commitment to sustainability and the quality of their ESG reporting. Having once again achieved the highest possible rating, Noerpel was recognised as a Leading Company.

The award is presented by EUPD Research, a market research, analysis and certification institute specialising in sustainability and corporate health.

Viktoria Wessel (Head of Sustainability) and Malin Binder (Sustainability Management Specialist) accepted the ESG Transparency Award 2025 on behalf of the Noerpel Group. The award was granted for Noerpel’s 2023/24 Sustainability Report. “We are delighted that our work has once again been recognised, and that we have received the ESG Transparency Award for the second consecutive year,” said Viktoria Wessel.

Improved results across key areas

Submitted ESG reports are assessed across the following five categories: Transparency, Environment, Social, Governance, and Regulatory Landscape. Participants are then assigned to the development, distinction or excellence level, depending on their overall score. 'As in 2024, we once again achieved the highest possible excellence level and maintained our position among the top-performing companies,' says Judith Noerpel-Schneider, Member of the Executive Board. 'At the same time, we further improved our overall result, particularly in the Environment and Social categories. We are extremely proud of this achievement.”

With an overall score of more than 83 per cent, Noerpel ranked among the top participants and achieved excellence status for the second consecutive year. In addition, the company was recognised as a Leading Company. This distinction is awarded to the best-performing organisations within their respective industry, company size and region. “This is further strong recognition of our extensive commitment to sustainability and highlights our ambition to take a leading role in this area,” says Judith Noerpel-Schneider.

Continuing our sustainability journey

Preparations are already underway for the next sustainability report, which will cover the most recent financial year. For the 2026 report, Noerpel will start to integrate the first requirements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

According to the current regulatory framework, the Noerpel Group is not required to publish a sustainability report for the 2027 financial year until 2028. 'For many years, we have deliberately chosen to stay ahead of regulatory requirements,' says Judith Noerpel-Schneider. ‘We published our first Sustainability Report at the end of 2023. Despite our continued growth, we are systematically reducing emissions and waste, investing in alternative drive technologies and infrastructure, and expanding our programmes for apprentices and employee development. In this way, we are turning our sustainability strategy into concrete action.’
