One employee, one company, 50 years.
Spending half a century with the same employer is rare. For Erdal Almasulu, however, it is a reality he has experienced first-hand. He has been part of the Noerpel family for 50 years, helping to shape the company through his commitment, experience and loyalty.
When he began his first shift at the Ulm transshipment terminal in 1976, nobody could have imagined that he would still be part of the team five decades later. Now aged 66, he has worked at three different locations, witnessed major technological developments, and experienced significant changes across the logistics and forwarding industry. One thing has remained the same throughout, however: his strong connection to Noerpel.
“I have always enjoyed my work,” says Erdal. For him, it has never just been a profession, but an important part of his life. Over the decades, he has contributed to the company’s success through his reliability, strong sense of responsibility, and unwavering dedication. Starting out as a logistics specialist, he later became a team leader and ultimately spent 20 years as a shift supervisor. His colleagues and managers value him not only for his extensive expertise and experience, but also for his helpful nature and positive attitude. Erdal is someone people can rely on today just as much as they could 50 years ago.
Stefan Noerpel-Schneider, a member of the management board, also personally congratulated Erdal on this extraordinary anniversary. “I was nine years old when we first met,” he recalls. ‘Back then, all goods were still moved using sack trucks.’ Even though he has already reached retirement age, Erdal still enjoys coming to work. He values being part of the team and continues to feel at home at Noerpel. His enthusiasm for his work and his close ties to the company make his story truly exceptional.
Fifty years with Noerpel is an impressive achievement. More importantly, it represents five decades of loyalty, passion, and team spirit. Thank you, Erdal!
