On 1 September, Wilhelm Kentner founded Wilhelm Kentner, Kraftverkehr Heidenheim.
1958
Construction of a new warehouse facility in Heidenheim-Mergelstetten.
1961
Opening of the Witten-Herbede branch.
1971
Construction of a new warehouse in Witten-Herbede, including an integrated crane system.
1973
Opening of the new forwarding in Heidenheim.
1979
Construction of a new warehouse in Heidenheim.
1984
Opening of the new “Güterverteilzentrale Ruhr” distribution centre in Bochum-Langendreer, featuring a direct rail connection.
1986
Launch of combined transport operations in Bochum as a limited partner of Kombi-Verkehre GmbH & Co. KG.
1990
Establishment of the Dresden branch at VEB Kraftverkehr Dresden.
1991
Introduction of electronic data interchange (EDI) across all branches, partner companies and major customers.
1992
March: Foundation of Kentner Spedition GmbH in Jena.
August: Acquisition of Dresdner Transport Service GmbH, the former VEB Handelstransport, from Treuhand Berlin. Start of systematic procurement logistics for major customers with production-synchronised plant deliveries.

Launch of regular transport services to Russia.

July: Opening of the Bureau de Liaison in Paris-Garonor.
August: Foundation of Kentner Jenoptik Service AG in Moscow as a joint venture with Jenoptik, Jena.
Launch of industrial packaging and project forwarding services.

Completion of the 2,000-square-metre transshipment terminal in Jena.

Construction of the KLP Kentner Logistics Park in Herbrechtingen.

Change of ownership: Noerpel acquires Kentner Kraftwagen-Spedition GmbH & Co. KG and the Kentner Logistics Park in Herbrechtingen.
